This will be the last (as in final) car you will ever drive. You only have two days from today to make it happen and you cant tell anyone your situation.
By the way, you are NOT going to die or anything. You simply wont ever drive another car after this one. Keep that in mind and I hope this separate section of text was enough to catch your attention since the title and lead picture should have thrown you off.

Probably a Duesnberg SJ. Or Jaguar S1 E-Type, 300SL, or Daytona. All roadsters of course, except the, for the last 3.

I’m not sure if you mean one last drive, or that I’ll drive it for the next 30 years, but I’ll go with this — especially if it’s one last drive. I’ve already owned it 17 years and love it. It just feels right to me.

Well that all depends... will it be breaking down like it do normally?
If we are going with extreme of driving it for the rest of the life, we might as well throw in a clause in there that says said vehicle will never break down.
If that’s the case, I want one of these
if no clause about breaking down, then beige Camry please. I want one grounded to the ground too.

On the one hand, I’m always thinking of ways to give it a little more boot, make it stop squeaking, etc... On the other hand... I’ve never really felt left out when others get new fancy cars and never felt the need to swap it for something else. After two and a half years, I still look for excuses to take it places.
By that record, if I didn’t get to drive something else it wouldn’t bother me, and if I didn’t get to drive this thing one last time I’d be sad.
So I’m gonna stick with this little guy.

See, I don’t know. Will it always be reliable? Will I live somewhere with a warmer climate so I don’t have to worry about taking it places in the winter? Will it age? I don’t want to be driving a 30 year old car with a million miles on it.
So, assuming it doesn’t age, I can live in a sunny location, and don’t have to worry about it every failing me, I think I’ll go with this:

Hmm, the Air Force probably isn’t just going to let me go for a joy ride in an F-22 right?
Anyway, I think I’d just drive my car. We’ve had good run, I don’t feel the need to run off to some exotic.

So long as I can choose what I am going to do with my time, I would definitely pick my Miata with way stickier tires and spend that whole day in Deal’s Gap. The roads must all become a closed course and wildlife will not enter the road that day. Also, might as well repave some of them since I had a few that would have been really awesome without the craters and gravel in the way.

The title is misleading. What he meant was, you have 2 days to buy a car, that will be the only car you drive for the rest of your existence.

That’s gonna be a bummer, though I ride a bike, so...
With it out of the way, the last car I’d rather drive would be a rally car. The modern kind, the fastest.
The 2017 Ford Focus RS RX. Well, not exactly.
Essentially what I wanna do is to make it sort of my own house, or at least a living space (remember the Africa Special on TopGear?), so I never leave its side. What I’m gonna do is call Hoonigan and M-Sport to help me give the Focus ST wagon
a Focus RS RX treatment.

This was tough because my initial thought was my 87 Vette which has been in the family for 30 years this coming November.
However, I’d want my last drive to be glorious, so I’d rather take my favorite car I’ve ever driven and drive the tires off of it, a last gen C63 507 Edition.

That truck was my DD for 13 years before I wrecked it towing a too heavy trailer that had the trailer brakes fail after leaving the house during a cross country move. If that truck were in that condition and I could buy it. I’d happily drive it for the rest of my existence.
It was 10 years old and just hit 100k miles in that picture.

Is this “you have 2 days to drive this car then no more driving ever” or is it ‘1 car for the rest of your life”?

More power and straight-line, but the new ones have miles better handling and can take corners faster.

In this scenario, I’ll assume I have to pay for use of the vehicle, and I’ll have to get to the vehicle wherever it is. So the super rare stuff is out since getting there would eat up too much time.
Since I only have 2 days, it’s unlikely I’ll get any track time. Even if I do get track time, it’s likely not enough.
So, fun to drive,
easy to find,
able to rent or borrow...
I don’t personally know anyone with a McLaren F1, so that’s out.
turbo Exocet or Lotus/Caterham Seven if I can find a really good one, or a Viper with WAAAAAY TOOOOOO MUUUUUCH power.

Who’s going to pay it? And keeping it running?
If someone buys it for me, but I would have to keep it running, my choice would be a Bugatti Type 59.
If someone pays everything, my pick would be a Lamborghini Espada.
If I have to pay everything, I would pick my own Charger project.

Here’s a picture of it in 2001 the day after I got it. It was custom ordered with the V8 and manual (my name is on the window sticker, which I still have). It was June 2014 when it was wrecked.

Two days to make it happen, and I have to make it happen with my current resources? And I can’t tell anyone the situation?
If this means “last car I will ever drive but I can keep driving that car, and that car alone”, you’re basically having me pick a car that I plan on keeping running for the rest of my life. Of what I could make happen in two days , with my current resources, let’s make it a used Tesla Model S, pre-facelift, 85 kWh single motor, and massively overextend myself to pay for it. It’s not ideal, but the two day constraint makes things difficult.
If this means “I get to drive it one day, and that’s it, no more driving cars ever”, that opens up a hell of a lot more choices, but it also makes things tricky in some ways - most of what I’d want to be my last drive ever would be things that... you’re not arranging that in two days, and even if you are, you aren’t arranging that without explaining the situation. Without those constraints... I think I’d go for the Drayson/Lola B12/69EV, one lap of Circuit de la Sarthe at speed. With those constraints... there’s so much of the automotive space that I haven’t explored, that I don’t even know where to go. Whichever I could arrange of the following, in this order of preference, I guess:
Previous-gen Audi R8 V10, manual transmission - give me a track for this - not too challenging of a track
Classic Mini Cooper - set me loose on some mountain roads
Aircooled naturally-aspirated 911... or even a 912 or 912E - mountain road and the track if it’s a 911
Aircooled Beetle in good condition - wherever, really
